That's what friends are for!

This last weekend we had the Camps over. Josh and Jake and Nate Ochsenhirt had a tournament that they had been planning forever and now since we are down here we thought it would be a great time to get together. The guys had to get some "practice" in before Saturday so they went golfing on Friday. (Okay, I put practice in quotations because to me practice isn't 18 holes...that is just golfing, but I think it makes Josh feel better about going!) Tammy and I thought this would be a great time to get our projects that we have been meaning to get done. I have had stocking patterns sitting around for 4 years now. That is sad. Plus getting Christmas gifts done. So we had the girls take "quiet time" and Hayden have a "nap". See the quotations again!?! The girls were so excited to see each other, we were dumb to think they would actually lay down on the blankets and pillows and watch Cars, right? And Hayden was convinced that he was missing out on something, so 20 minutes for a nap was all he was going to give me. So with that, we decided shopping would be a great idea. The kids all needed warm clothes, so we went with the best of intentions. But the outlet malls must have been having an off day on kids clothes, but we found some great deals for us. I told Josh to just think of it as me "practicing"!!! That night, we all went to dinner for my birthday. Since this year it was on a Sunday, we figured any night was as good. The whole place was packed. But it was so much fun. The next day, we juggled kids and projects the whole day. We were going to attempt a movie, but with the kids not having much sleep in the last 24 hours, we trashed that idea. That night we played Settlers of Catan and had cake and ice cream. Really it wasn't a birthDAY for me it ended up being a birthWEEKEND. It was so great to have friends down.
