A night out at the punkin' patch

When we moved here last year we went to Staheli Farms to get our pumpkin from their pumpkin patches. The kids had so much fun that we decided that we would make it a family tradition. (It is more fun than just finding a pumpkin in a pile at the grocery store!) So we held up the tradition this year again and headed out to the patch. They had a petting zoo for the kids to pet their favorite animals...llamas, sheep, goats, mules, bunnies...etc. They had a pipe slide that slid down into a pile of corn kernels, games for the kids to play, swings, and redneck trampoline. They had a blast playing with everything. When we were done playing we loaded up onto a tractor drawn trailer and rode past the cows out to the pumpkin patch. We searched through all of their pumpkins until Maddie and Hayden found just the right ones. We even found watermelons growing in the patch and Josh wanted to get one and have a "St. George" jack-o-lantern. By the time we were finished it was getting dark and so we didn't have time for the corn maze because it was going to become a "spooky" maze and I didn't want to be up with two terrified kids all night so we will have to go back again this week- but I am sure that the kids won't mind!
