I have seen on a few of my friends blogs, including Mindi!, that they do a Thankful Thursday every week. I love this idea. When I was in my senior year of high school, my Mom watched an Oprah that talked about keeping a Thankful journal and writing down 5 things every day that you were grateful for. I did it throughout my entire senior year and on and off through college. I stumbled across it while cleaning out some stuff and had to laugh at some of the things I was thankful for back in the day. No, to save me from personal embarassment, I will not be posting them here. But I really like the idea..because so often I get so busy and I forget how lucky I am. To be practical, I probably won't have time (or remember) to write down 5 things every day...but once a week...I can do that (I hope) so here it goes...
1. Grace didn't end up with another round of RSV this last week. I took her to the doctor and she has a cold and is stuffy but no RSV. I was relieved.
2. That general conference is every six months...it always comes at the perfect time. I could have stood up in applause after Elder Ballard's talk about moms...but I didn't. But I wanted to!
3. I am thankful for great friends that I can talk to and they get me! Thank heavens for the monthly girls night out!!
4. I am thankful for a terrific husband who works so hard for us and three great kids who keep me busier than I ever thought was possible.
5. A silly one..but something I am grateful for none the less...THE OFFICE comes back TONIGHT!!! The writer's strike left me sad for weeks on end but tonight it ends...I am so excited that I want to pinch myself!

Rachel...great new hair style. You look really different...actually. So I like your thankful list. I have read it on other blogs and was thinking about doing something similar. We'll have to see how on the ball I am. I also loved loved loved Elder Ballard's talk.
