1. Computers and a great husband who knows how to fix them. I was having a few issues with mine and Josh said he would fix it. Little did he know that problem would take him 2 DAYS to fix and I missed my computer so! I didn’t realize how much I use it. Check e-mail, online phone book, check blogs, primary stuff, recipe finder, etc. I am so glad I have it back and that I have a husband who is not only on call for others, but for his somewhat computer illiterate wife too.
ID-10T errors keep him busy around here.
2. E-mails, blog comments, and real life mail. Nothing can put a smile on my face quicker than when I open my e-mail or better yet, the mailbox and there is mail! I love hearing from people and no, not just any people. Not the ones who are saying that if I give them money, I get to be included in an estate for ten million dollars, just send my money order to Nigeria and I am in! But e-mails from friends and family make my day!
3. Moms. Considering that Sunday is Mother’s day, in my opinion Moms rule the world. There is no harder work, and sometimes it seems very unappreciated work. Growing up I didn’t realize the full impact of just how great Mother’s day really was until bam…I was a mother too. Maddie has had a present sitting in her closet that I am forbidden from seeing until Sunday. She made it at school and has been counting down the days until she can give it to me. I can hardly wait. Not only to see what it is but because that sweet little girl is just so dog gone excited to give it to me.
4. Nap time. No, not just because it is quiet but because of how cranky Grace (and Hayden most days) can get if they don’t get enough sleep. Hayden has had a cold and Grace is getting 2 teeth at once. Neither one had been sleeping well the last couple of days, but today, the nap time fairy visited our house and they both are getting some very much needed sleep! Mom needs a nap!
5.Tylenol and chewy toys…while I am on the subject of Grace and teething! I noticed a week ago that Grace had two bumps on her lower gums and rubbed them and one of the two was almost broken through. I opened my big mouth and said I was surprised that she hadn’t been more cranky (or is it crankier?! I don’t know!) , considering she was getting two at once. I should just learn to shut my mouth and enjoy! But nope, I said it and for the past couple of days she has been CRANKY!
