And aren't you glad that I'm not?! This is probably just as embarrassing for me as putting a picture of that up. Really. I am sure you have all been wondering where I am and why I haven't posted in over a week. A WEEK! Okay, none of you, except my Mom. Well, maybe not my Mom either. She has been pretty busy getting things ready to go back and teach 1st grade this year. So busy, that she hasn't been posting on her blog (since congratulating us on being married 8 years...in May!) So if you happen to be coming from hers, that is what she is up to. I have been tempted to hijack her blog and fill it with things like "Rachel is the best daughter in the world...etc" But I don't seem to even get mine updated lately. Summer is hard on blogging. We have been having fun enjoying the summer. And on top of it I have been doing a lot of this:

DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING!!! I have been doing things here and there but thought I would never give up the paper scrapbooking...ever. But I must say, I have had so much fun. We even had a girl come and teach us tricks and tips to photo editing and scrapbooking and I have been having a blast. So out goes all of the paper, the eyelets, the brads, the ribbons, the stickers, the scissors, etc.
So I started going through things, deciding what to sell, give away, keep or throw away. At first it was hard but as I have been going...I am going to admit, I have a sickness. Yes, a sickness. I was addicted to buying paper. I love the patterns, the colors, everything about it. But now, it just keeps coming. From everywhere. From every nook and cranny, more scrapbook stuff. Here is the evidence:

There is a method to that madness. I promise. One stack is layouts I won't use, next is papers that there are only 1-2 of and the next stack is papers that I have a bunch of. I must have gone crazy or absolutely loved that paper when I bought it. There is a huge stack of cardstock. And then I have stacks that are color coordinated. Some of those were chopped off the picture because there is just so much. I have the Paper Organizers, those are going. The rolling cart, it is going, the shoulder bag...going. You get the idea! My name is Rachel, and I am addicted to scrapbooking. I shudder to think that after this is done comes all of the embellishments. But it will feel so nice to have it go to good homes where it will be used. (Yes Mom, I am sure I want to sell it!) If you happen to need some, holler...I would love you to have it! Help me overcome my addiction! hehehehe! I have a few posts that I have been meaning to get up and once I have this stuff all in order, and a shower (yes it is 10:50 in the morning and I am still in my PJ's...and proud of it! Just don't come to my door or I will die of embarrassment!)

I have checked your blog...and I know you are a busy mom! I know I am naughty for not writing on my blog. I think writing about word chunks and manipulatives would be boring to read...unless you teach
1st grade!!! Would you please keep up my writing on my blog too? Just make me sound exciting. Don't sell a thing until you talk to me. I want to buy your rolling file BUT you have to let me pay for it. I know you have gems that I want. We are so excited to see you!!! I am working hard so I can play when you come. I love you Maddie, Hayden and Gracie. Oh and I love you too Rachel and Josh. :}
Digital scrapbooking is THE BEST! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! So Much less messy.
My kitchen table isn't covered with paper and all the related junk anymore! I love that when I have some free time, I can just sit at the computer and work on a page a little, and when I need to make dinner, I just click "save" and can come back to it again when I'm ready without leaving a mess behind. It's cheaper too! There are lots of websites that post free kits. Ikeagoddess.blogspot.com is a great one! I just found out about a site that will print your 12x12's for 99cents but that sale ends on the 20th. That site is scrapbooksplease.com
I was thinking it might be fun to start a scrapbook blog and post our latest scrapbook pages. We could set it up so lots of people were able to post on it and we could all post our latest creations and get some good ideas!
PS my sister is teaching 1st grade. This will be her first year teaching, so I understand how busy your mom must be. I've been helping my sister by making posters (on photoshop) and helping her set up her classroom.
It's okay Rachel. We all have our problems. Admitting it is the first step. Now just make sure to get some help. haha. Just kidding. Good luck selling it all. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the reunion.

10 o'clock and no shower...that's nothing! I won't embarrass myself
and tell how late I can go before showering. Let's just blame it on the kids. It's a better excuse then blogging.
I kind of count my blog as scrapbooking, how terrible is that? I wish I were closer to snatch up some of your goodies!
