Thursday Kids Day at the movies

Today I did what I thought to be impossible. I Rachel, took my three kids to a movie. In a movie theater and I did it all by myself. Sure, my friends and their kids were there too, but there was no Josh. I packed a bunch of fruit snacks and Yogos, crossed my fingers and off we went. They were great. I don't know why such the great luck, but was pleasantly surprised! When we got there they had us going through the doors and on the screen above it it said it was to see Hellboy. HAHAHA, Jodi was on the ball and had her camera and took a picture of the kids coming out with the sign above. Pretty darn funny! We finally got a chance to see Horton Hears A Who. (See how often we get out?!) What a cute movie. I love Steve Carell ! THe kids loved it too. They watched the entire thing from start to finish. (That right there says something!) After it was over Maddie leaned over and said "Mom, we should buy that one!" and Hayden couldn't stop talking about the elephant... pronounced "EWUH-FUNT". Even as I type this with the picture at the top of the post, he keeps talking about it! It was a great day and when the kids are happy, Mom is happy!

Wish I could have been there! But it's good to know that now we can take the kids to a matinee and survive! ;) I am so glad we have become such good friends! You are the BOMB! haha

Way to GO! It is the hardest to take a baby 1-3 years old! We tried to take all 5 kids mind you I had my hubby and we or should I say I ended up in the hall the whole time trying to keep my 1 year old from eating pop corn of the gross floor! Her feet were black from crawling on the floor! I miss you! I feel like it has been forever! Quit being so stuck up and say hi once in a while! J/K

We've heard the greatest things about that show! Maybe I ought to take Charly to a show and just hope for the same luck you had! I'm afraid I would just be holding my breath the whole time, entertaining my "any moment now" anxiety when Charly would be squirming off my lap and down the aisle, picking up popcorn from the floor on the way.

Way to go mom! That is such a scarey thing the first time you do it! I took my kids alone for the first time last summer a couple times, of course I wouldnt have done it alone, we went with friends too, but it was awesome! Great job!

I am proud of you taking on such an adventure. If it makes you feel better I am still waiting to see a Bee Movie! Oh wait, isn't it on dvd now? Oh well, the theater didn't get my seven dollars to come in and take a nap...since that is what I seem to do through every movie I go see.

That is daring. I have not attempted that yet.

I am also grateful for contacts and digital scrapbooking. BTW, love your new header. Cute.

I have taken my kids to most of the movies. Sometimes I wish I could get a babysitter for Macee so i can enjoy the movie.
