Early Halloween weekend

My parents and brother came down for the UEA weekend to see us. We must be tons of fun, right?! We sure are! We spent time shopping on Friday. That night we had our annual "Spooky Dinner". We have done this dinner since I lived at home and it is a dinner that we look forward to every year. Spooky Dinner is Hawaiian Haystacks but every ingredient is given a creepy name. The rice is "bat teeth" the chinese noodles are "rat bones" ...etc... The kids love it and I will admit, the adults do too! Note: Root Beer that is already carbonated and dry ice is not a good mix.

We then played Ticket to Ride of course! When my family gets together, this game is required. I even managed to win a game. It was sheer luck but I will take my win regardless! (My family is also a tad bit umm....competitive...!)

(See how competitive?! Mom wouldn't stop playing for the picture! HAHAHA! Love ya Mom!)

Saturday my parents went down to visit Jake and Ash and the kiddos. We stayed here so Josh could continue to be the self-proclaimed "Employee of the Year" by helping the snowbirds who were coming back get all their stuff hooked back up. I joke, but I am glad he has a job! :)

It was a fun weekend and we are thankful to my family for coming down to see us! We miss you!
