Thankful Thursday

1. I am a lucky girl. I have such a sweet family and such great friends. I felt so loved for my birthday yesterday. My family all called to wish me a happy birthday and sent cards. My friend Kellie came by with dinner (busy busy girl and still made me dinner...she is amazing!) and is getting a canvas of Gracie on the couch done for me. Thank you Kellie! And Brandi, Kim, and Melissa gave me this:

Thank you girls for thinking of me on my b-day! Josh wrestled the crazy kids for me and I pretty much had the night off. He got me a massage and I am torn. I have never had one before in my life and I am not so sure. He thinks I will love it...I am petrified of someone touching my pasty white cottage cheese...and for an hour?! Oooh nooo. It should be great fun!

2. I forgot to write this one last week. I am thankful for honest people. I had taken Hayden, Maddie, and Grace to Hayden's soccer game by myself last Saturday. I was packing everything up after the game ended and thought I had everything. WRONG. I got a call from my brother saying that there was a guy that found my cell phone at the fields and had it for me to pick up. I was so thankful that he took the time to get my cell phone back to me. At least it wasn't one of the kids! ;)

3. The Scrapbook Expo came to town for the first time ever and I got to go check it out. It was a bit slow and didn't have as many of the crazy deals that it is known for but I did get a few things crossed off my shopping list for Christmas and heck...it was fun! So Ashley...you'd better come up next time!

4. Maddie's Parent Teacher Conference was on Tuesday and I am so happy as a Mom when I hear her teacher say that she loves having her in her class. She is an awesome reader, loves art, and is a good friend. Yay for that!

5. A food storage room. Our home is lacking in the basement department but when we found this house, it had a room off of the laundry room that we turned into food storage. It was one of those unthought things when we were house hunting but I am so glad we have it. Of course it is an ongoing process of stocking it but hey, there is a place to put it!
