Happy Birthday Gracie Lou Who!!

Wow how the year has flown! It is hard to believe that one year ago I was holding out delivery at least until after Christmas. I was ready to be done and she was ready to come. I probably shouldn't have been playing all that Wii Bowling on Christmas Day but I couldn't resist!

Contractions started and were consistent all night. I called my parents to tell them to be ready just in case. Before bed they stopped so I called and told them they should be okay and to get to bed.

2:00 in the morning I woke up with contractions all over again and waited them out so the kids could sleep a little more. By 4:00 I could take no more so we packed the kids up and headed for the hospital. I was checked and admitted. Maddie kept giving me funny looks of worry when I would have contractions and I did my best to smile through them but finally I couldn't do it anymore. I was at an 8 and begged for the epidural.

My family arrived at the hospital 20 minutes before Grace entered the world. She was by far my easiest delivery. The doctor told me not to even cough or sneeze until he got ready...she was coming...fast! A couple quick pushes and she was here!! We love having her as a part of our family. It is crazy but it feels like she has always just been here.

Since I usually do a reason for each year and Grace is only one...that seemed like a cop out. So for her I am doing one for each month.

1. She is a little comedian. She is always doing stuff to make us laugh. And keeps doing it until we stop!

2. She loves to dance. Anything from singing ABC's to dancing when the sacrament meeting hymns are being sung she can't hold back.

3. Hasn't decided she hates any food whatsoever. And is hungry all of the time.

4. She thinks she is much older than one.

5. She is my little shadow. She can find me no matter where I go in the house.

6. Has the cutest little "waddle" walk I have ever seen!

7. She has a million things to say, just wishes we understood her more.

8. She drops what she is doing and heads for the door as soon as she hears Josh come home from work, and refuses to let him pass until he picks her up!

9. If you are chewing something, she wants to look in your mouth to see what it is...then for you to go get her some too. (she is a bit weird!)

10. Loves to carry her blanket around in her mouth when she is walking.

11. She is tough. She holds her own with Maddie and Hayden.

12. Has chubby cheeks that beg to be kissed all of the time!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRACE! WE LOVE YOU!
XOXO!

She is adorable. Congrats on the big one! OH and by the way, Abe does that same thing with sticking his finger in your mouth if he sees you chewing and wanting it.
