Photography Class...

I have been "playing around" with my camera since I got it a few months ago. Since I work for Kellie, she has given me some tips here and there and one of them was to learn to shoot in manual. Simply put, this means that the photographer has complete control over every aspect of a picture. I had tried and got a couple of pictures but for the most part crashed and burned. So I would put it back on auto and continue to take my flashy uncomposed blurry photos. (perfect example...blurry Santa...'nuf said!)

Kel and Staci were offering another photography class a couple of weeks ago and I jumped at the chance to go.

I had read a ton, including my manual and was worried I wouldn't ever be able to EVER do it. We had a quick class that Thursday and went over the basics and on Saturday we were off and running. I had a blast and met a lot of awesome people! It was held at a hotel and we did get plenty of crazy looks from the people staying there...but you can't blame them when you drive up and see this...


We would learn and then go out and practice. They brought in kids and teenagers for us to use. They were troopers because they had about 24 crazy ladies each with a camera in their face. I could never ever ever do that...not ever. But they were great and it was awesome to be able to practice and ask questions!
