I hope everyone had a great Halloween...and lots of candy! Yesterday morning I got a call from my dad, and I am an aunt again! WAHOO! Ashley and Jake had a baby girl late the night before. She is 6 lbs. and 7 oz. and has huge feet! Tiny little girl, huge giant feet...just like her mommy!! They named her Brooklyn. Then yesterday afternoon, my dad invited us up to the youth ranch that he works for to have lunch and play on the blow up playground that they brought in for a few hours. It was so neat to see these kids and see how much better they are doing now that they are getting the help they need to turn their lives around. Only the teens who have earned the chance got to play on the equipment. And other employees brought their kids and the teens had a blast with all of the kids. A couple of them came up to me and said that they wanted to have babies. I told them to borrow Hayden for a couple of hours and they would change their minds! The kids had a blast. We had a spooky dinner last night with Pop Pop and then the kids went out trick or treating. I have realized we have the perfect halloween street. Why you ask? We are pretty much only houses on one side of the street since the church is across the street so many trick-or-treaters see this as a negative. We had maybe only 75 kids come by but the streets next to ours were crawling with kids. Maddie even came home with 3 full sized candy bars? Who hands those out---and why didn't we go back there a few times!!!?!! It was a successful halloween. And now today, I am getting as much mileage out of that candy as I can. Maddie has cleaned her room, ate all of her breakfast without complaining and put all of her clothes away in her drawers, just for a piece of candy. Now if only Hayden would do the same!
