Baby it's COLD outside!

I can't complain too much I guess, but it is really cold here. We have broken records down here as the coldest it has been since 1930! I was talking to my mom and she said it is bone chilling cold up north too. She said that she was driving in the car with Michelle and they were looking at the temperature gage in the car and instead of a temperature, it said "ICE". As they got driving and were in the sun, it finally gave a temperature of 13 degrees. That is SO cold. I told her that this summer when it gets blazing hot down here, my car will just say "HE!!" But I would love to have some spring right now. We were at the store yesterday and they had their spring silk flowers in and they looked so cute and happy! I can hardly wait. It is my favorite time of year and it always takes so long to get here!

Since it has been so cold, I have been juggling scrapbooking and reading. (of course along with being a couch potato at night since all of my favorite shows are coming back! 24...Prison Break...American Idol...Lost!!!) Anyway, I just finished a GREAT book for any wife. I saw it on the shelf at the library and had heard some stuff about it. But it was really good! It was so nice to hear a woman put women back to where we should be and to what we should be doing. It is called The Proper Care and Feeding Of Husbands by Dr. Laura Schlessinger. It works. I am telling you-IT WORKS! Things were good before, but they are great. She gives so many points that I had not even thought of. So if you are looking for something to curl up with a blanket and some hot chocolate...this is perfect.

I'm pretty sure Cameron thinks that Dr. Laura is akin to God, and that her books are scripture. We're big fans of hers and listen to her on the radio often.
I read that book, not too long ago, and I agree- it totally works, even though it's hard to swallow my pride and do some of those things. I read the sequel to that book recently- "Woman Power" and it's great too.
I was listening to her on the radio yesterday and she has a new book that was just released called, "The Proper Care and Feeding of Marraige."

Anyway...

It's totally cold, and I too cannot wait until spring.

Are you coming to Girls' Night?
