The joys of wintertime!

The flu hit the Hood family! Not the nasty stomach flu-just the achy "want to rip my arms and legs off, coughing, runny nose" flu. Maddie, Brooklyn and Sydney all ended up with it first and then Ashley and I and Hayden got it yesterday. It is nasty stuff. I forgot how achy you can get. It hurt to sit, stand, lay down-pretty much anything. Today is a little better. Hayden still seems a little sick but hopefully we will all be back to normal soon. It is nothing though compared to last year. It seemed like the stomach flu went around like crazy and then it was pink eye. I remember crying to Josh one night because I just wanted everyone to not be sick for a couple of days! Everyone was passing around everything. It was a bad winter. So I guess I can't complain. And I would take a cough and runny nose and every part of my body hurting over the stomach flu any day.

But in other news....I learned about something so cool! About a year and a half ago, Maddie was trying to get the Beauty and the Beast DVD out of the case and pulled on it and it snapped. I was so sad because we couldn't get another one unless I paid someone on e-bay 40.00 for one, and who knows if it was a pirated copy! But I just found out that Disney has a replacement program. You call a number and tell them what DVD you will be sending in and they give you the address and tell you to write a letter stating what happened (no wrong answers) and a check for $6.95-and then send all of that in with the DVD and they send you a brand new one! So we are saved! I called them a couple of days ago and got it in the mail today so we should have a new one in a couple of weeks. The lady said that they offer it with any Disney movie. Here is the info. She said it is best if you call it in first so that they can make sure they have one for you, but that there are some that just send it in. I guess calling in saves some time.
