Happy 2007!

We have had so much fun in the last week! The Christmas season ended up lasting a whole week! We stayed here for Christmas and my family came down just after Christmas to celebrate and we had Brooklyn's blessing on Sunday. On Christmas Eve, since it was just our little family, we had Christmas dinner (I pulled it off- ALL BY MYSELF!!!! YEAH!) and then went over to the temple to see the nativity and the lights. While we were there, Maddie talked to a sister missionary. She was so sweet to Maddie and gave her pictures of the temples. Maddie was looking through a brochure that had pictures of the inside of the temples and she said- I want to go in there and hang out with the cows and the pool. I had to try to explain to her that it was the baptismal font and what the "cows" were, but she said-"Mom, I know what it is, I saw the picture." We came back and opened the Christmas Eve presents and went to bed. The next morning was so much fun. Hayden is just starting to catch on to how Christmas morning works but Maddie about had a heart attack! When my parents and brother and sister came down, we had Christmas all over again. We played games and had a great time. New Years Eve day we all drove to Brooklyn's blessing. But because we had left Buddy in his crate all day, we hurried home so we could let him out before he did anything that none of us would want to clean up! We got "24" on DVD for Christmas so we watched a few episodes and barely made it to midnight. The next morning Maddie asked if her birthday was next and I told her it was in February and she said "Oh, and that is when I will be 5, right?" and I told her that she would and asked if she had fun being 4 and she said "No. I want to be 12, so I can go in the temple with the cows!!"
