His wife will laugh one day

Hayden and Maddie were playing around and suddenly Hayden burst into tears. I thought that they were fighting over a toy and came into the family room to see Hayden trying his hardest to pull Maddie's tutu on. At first thought I told him that he didn't want to wear that. He looked up at me and said "PEESE!" I couldn't resist! So we put it on and he started twirling around like he sees his sister doing. I yelled to Josh to come out and see. Josh couldn't stop shaking his head and said "You don't want to wear that buddy. Really you don't." But Hayden couldn't have been happier. No, this doesn't mean that we will start painting his toenails or putting bows in his hair. I just cross my fingers he won't grow up to be a hair stylist! But it could be good blackmail one day- or a really good laugh for his future wife.

We headed to the canyons this weekend for a "hike" (term used loosely when you have little kids!) We took some pictures and showed the kids around. Maddie and Josh had a blast pretending to be snakes coming out and attacking. I hate...I mean I REALLY HATE snakes. Even the thought of them. I won't go into the snake exibit at the zoo. (You never know if somehow the glass smashes and they all come slithering out.) So every once in a while getting a grab on the ankle and a hissing sound was great. That had to have been the best part!
