Oh what do you do in the summertime?

It has been a while in posting. There has been so much going on, but of course, not much of the stuff worth "writing" all about. Laundry is done, folded and put away, bathrooms cleaned, dishes done and put away...I would love a gold star right smack dab in the middle of my pasty white forehead! But Friday was one of those days that when you wake up, you just know it is going to be a busy one. You lay there and debate whether or not to get out of bed but of course, it will only get worse if you don't just get up! Our ward has "park day" every Friday and the splash park was going to be open. It was 98 that day and the kids were jumping at the chance to get into their swimming suits and play. Maddie found her "sister" as they called each other, because they were wearing the same swim suit. They didn't leave each others side for a second the entire time! They played and played and then we had a picnic. Neither one of them wanted it to end, but fun has to end sometime right? We headed over to Daddy's new office to pick him up to go get office supplies (fun stuff right?!) Then it was home for a quick nap and then it was off to drop off a camera we sold on e-bay before the post office closed and a trip across town to the FedEx up by the airport to pick up Josh's cell phone that they tried to deliver while we were out for the day.** Friday night ended up being a ward Girls Night because Friday-Saturday was the annual Fathers and Son's camping trip. All of the big girls and little girls get together every year and play while the boys are away bonding. It was a blast...full of fattening treats and a fierce Dance Dance Revolution competition. At the end of the day when I go to bed, usually my mind is racing with the things I didn't get done and the things I need to remember to do the next day but that night, I don't even remember my head hitting the pillow! It was a good day-but boy a busy one!

**We had an Elder's quorum presidency BBQ last Monday at our neighbor's house. They have a pool and LONG story short...Maddie ended up almost drowning and Josh had to jump in with his clothes and shoes on, and his cell phone in his pocket. After trying to bring it back to life all day Tuesday and a trip to the Verizon store later-they sent him a new one for free! So he had been using mine all week and I was so excited to get mine back! No FedEx guy was going to stop that from happening so I ran to their office to pick it up rather than wait for them to redeliver on Monday!
