Our Labor Day weekend!!

My parents were going to come down for Labor day weekend but scheduling conflicts changed plans last minute. The next thing we knew we were packing up our bags, picking up Michelle and heading off to Salt Lake. We headed out just before Labor Day traffic started picking up and by the time we reached Provo we were glad we did.

Saturday morning we were up and going early and headed off to a much needed trip to Lagoon. We hadn't been in a couple of years and were overdue to go on some rides. Maddie and Hayden's faces lit up the second they saw Kiddieland. We had expected it to be overcrowded since it was Labor day weekend but it really wasn't bad at all. We were able to walk onto a few rides and if we didn't, we only had to wait a ride or two to get on. (Except for Wicked etc!) Hayden didn't want to ever get off the Ladybug or Dinosaur rides. By the end of the day we were exhausted but had a great time.

Sunday after going to my parent's ward we had a birthday party for Josh. Any excuse for cake is perfect in my book! My Mom made Josh's favorite dinner complete with London Broil, potatoes, homemade rolls, and barbequed corn on the cob. We played card games and had cake and homemade ice cream. I ate way too much and am not looking forward to stepping on the scale at my doctor's appointment next week!!

Monday morning we got up and headed over to Ikea before it got too crowded. Josh had never been but had heard all about it from when I had been there a couple of months ago and he wanted to see it. We shopped and shopped and then hurried home, packed up the car and headed on the road to try to avoid traffic. It was a great trip....way too quick...but a ton of fun!
