Our Horrible, no good, very bad week....

It really was. I had all intentions of posting this last week, but circumstances were not on our side. Let's just put it this way...the flu hit our part of the world and in turn hit our home. So it was a week of everyone getting sick. Yuck. The only day someone wasn't sick was my birthday so that was a great present in and of itself! But I am a germ freak and the worst thing in the world to me is the flu. So I spent the first half of the week taking care of the next victim of the horrible bug and the last half of the week wearing kitchen gloves, carrying around Lysol wipes, Lysol spray and running the washer on sanitize for the 5 bazillionth time. I have a complete new appreciation for everyone being healthy. Everything was torn apart and cleaned and scrubbed. So now at least the house is clean. There is an upside right?!

There was another upside to the week...I went to Maddie's parent teacher conferences on Wednesday and she is the Student of the Month for her kindergarten class. I was so excited to hear that! We were going to go out to celebrate last week...but I think we will have to do that this week!

And to top off our week we found out that we have to stay here for Thanksgiving. My parents aren't coming down and my sister in Vegas is going to the in-laws for the holidays. So we are just our little family for Thanksgiving. Josh has to be here because if something happens with work he is the only one down here who can fix it but if he is in Salt Lake there is no one here. We knew when we moved that this just might happen at some point and here it is! So I ran to the store (antibacterial gel in hand...that nasty bug is going around you know!) and braved the crowds and picked up everything we could possibly need for Thanksgiving and I am cooking my own. Scary!!! But in a way I am kind of excited...I have never had to do it before so we will have to see how it goes!

SOunds pretty crappy, I am sorry! I just wanted to wish you a happy thanksgiving. I dont know maybe you already have different plans by now but I was going to let you know that when we were down in St. George with no family and couldnt make it up North for things, it seems like that was when we made the funnest memories with just our little family! Even if back then it was just the two of us! Good LUCK and I hope that you have a WONDERFUL turkey day!
