Happy Birthday Maddie Bug!

I can't believe it has been 6 years already. And in some ways it seems like you have always been here. I was a new mom, nervous and not sure how I would do. When they put you in my arms for the first time I remember looking down and was amazed at how tiny you were. And that now you were trusting me to know what to do. We figured it out together. You were the first. All of your clothes were brand new. All of your toys were brand new. We were brand new. For the first two weeks you wouldn't sleep in your crib, your bassinet, or your car seat. You slept on my chest. I always thought it was because you liked to still hear my heartbeat. But as time has gone on, you have grown so much. You don't need me to hold you all night to know I love you. You are turning into quite a big girl. You read all on your own, you go to school, you even have homework. Sometimes I look at Grace and then look at you and forget that at one time you were just that tiny too. Being the oldest too, I know it isn't always easy-but you are such a great example to Hayden and Grace. It is a lot of responsibility and you are always so willing to play and help whenever you can. So thank you for all you do for our family. And thank you for making me a Mommy. I love you sweetheart! Happy Birthday!

Rachel that is so sweet. There are a lot of memories that come with the first.. anyway it made me feel sad though about kids growing up. It's like I can't wait for them to grow up but at the same time I don't want them too.
Happy birthday Maddie.
