Do you think he ever will?

I am not so sure. I thought the same with Maddie. I figured she better find someone who loved her enough to dedicate his life to change her diapers for eternity. But we tried a bunch of different rewards (bribes) until we found what worked for her. Thank heavens for Krabby Patty candy! So I give my thanks to Spongebob Squarepants for potty training my little girl. In my opinion, whatever works right?!

Hayden, on the other hand, will not be bribed. No amount of treats, toys, or reward chart is going to work. We even bought him the three pairs of underwear (that he is proudly displaying in his own way, above) that are from Cars, his new obsession...that glow in the dark! We made a huge fuss and I did everything I could think of...nothing. He now won't even sit on the potty for more than a minute. I have sang him a potty song, begged, made promises...nothing. I am getting desperate! So if anyone has any fantastic ideas, I am open!

Yeah ok, it is 3:30 am- I know I am CrAZY, but heck when do we get to blogging w/ evertything else in life! I love the posts.... no help for Hayden so sorry. Potty training is my biggest pet-peeve of motherhood. I keep saying 2 down, 1 to go. But now Treygalish likes to occasionally just get "water on his pants" - yeah right water! Anywho, Best of Luck w/ that, we all need it!!

That is so hilarious. I love the picture. Good luck with that one...if you find any miracles...let me know. Good girl for continuing to work out as well. You are one tough cookie.

Welcome to the world of potty training BOYS! Luckily for you, you only have one (as compared to some of us who have THREE!). We tried every bribe in the book with Connor...nothing worked!!! It would work for a day or two and then he was bored with it. I figured out that his problem was that he didn't want to take the time to go sit on the potty. Why would he want to stop playing when he could just pee his pants and mom would clean it up? No skin off his back. So, everytime he had an accident, I would make him take a bath. After a few weeks, he learned that it took less time out of his life to just go potty than to take a 15 minute bath (I made him sit in there awhile--yes, I'm a horrible mother!) So, that's what worked for us. Good luck! I don't even want to think about potty training Aiden yet!!! Sorry for the looooooooong comment!

Boo hoo for you with the potty training! It's such a necessary evil that comes with motherhood. The potty issues don't end though. I'd say Blake is potty trained with the exception of an occasional accident, of course. (Too bad those accidents tend to happen at other people's houses.) But even though he and Tait can now do their "business" on the potty, their "business" doesn't always make it all the way into the potty. Cleaning the bathrooms has reached a new level of disgusting.

PS I tagged you on my blog!

he is so not ready, it shouldn't be a fight. drop it for 2 weeks and maybe bring it up agian...mention things like "eww gross, i wish you were a big boy and pee in the potty while you change him." but let him feel like it is his choice ...that might help :) You are doing an amazing job with those 3 lil people!
