Dear Hayden,

Dear Hayden,

While I appreciate the fact that you are potty trained (I am elated actually) I am also realizing that this new found awesome talent comes with some strings attached. I have accepted the fact that cleaning your bathroom is now an everyday occurance. I have accepted that when people come over and need to use the bathroom, I have to check first to make sure it is presentable. Having a boy is wonderful.

But today. Oh today Haydo...going in to go to the bathroom is one thing. Coming in to check on you after you have been in there a little longer than my Mommy timer usually estimates and finding you with the toilet bowl brush...scrubbing my cabinets, the floor, the garbage can, the toilet (inside and out)....not good. The only thing that made me smile was when you looked up and said "I hepin' you cwean Mommy! SEE!!" I appreciate your efforts to try to clean up after yourself. But Mommy is a germ freak and had to scrub not only the bathroom from ceiling to floor but you as well.

I will take over cleaning up after you, that is until I can show you a more acceptable form of cleaning than with the bowl brush.

Love,
Mom.

Haha! I so hear ya on the cleaning up after the boys after they've used the bathroom, or a lound alarm sounding in my head when they've been in the bathroom longer than a couple of minutes. It doesn't take long for any bathroom to turn into a truckstop/convienience store bathroom with two little boys with bad "aim" around!

Oh my. Aren't those little helpers the best?? Little boys shake up potty training a little. Andrew sits down still and we have yet to venture into the standing position. I don't want to count on his aim. Yuck.

Too bad you didn't have Hayden when you were young and had chores to do...he could have "helped" you then too! I heart him! Maybe you could invent "Scrubbing Fingerz". LOL :D

That is hilarious. Why do boys think toilet brushes are cool? Seriously they find the most disgusting things in the house to play with. I once found Isaac playing with the toilet plunger. I think i threw up a couple times while cleaning him up!
