So I will remember next time

I sat down to post the pictures from meeting Santa and was amazed. No silly. Not at my amazing photography skills, but rather my lack of skills during one of my favorite photo ops of the year!

When I am standing in line next year for the kids to see the man whose belly shakes like a bowl full of jelly, here is what I need to remember:

1. Getting your camera out and ready BEFORE your turn is probably a great idea. Don't wait until the last second and fumble in the bag to grab it as the kids are getting on Santa's lap. (I missed the priceless face Gracie made when she saw who was holding her. Dang it!)
2. If you are using a camera you are still "learning" take LOTS of pictures and maybe you will get one that isn't blurry.
Gracie was not too happy about any of it.

3. Don't stress out worrying about taking "too long" because hey, you have all been waiting in line...outside...in the cold... for the very same thing!

4. Laugh this year because this is the ONLY picture with Santa that is kind of in focus!

SWEEEET!

If only there was time between now and Christmas to get back to good ol' Saint Nick and get a "re-do" but then what would be the fun in that? I happen to love blurry out of focus pictures, don't you?!

It's all good. Blurry or not your kids will be able to remember that they saw Santa that year. Looks like fun. We still have that adventure to look forward to this year.

How precious are those pictures! They would have looked blurry anyway... that is what happens when you are looking out of tear filled eyes. Wish we could be there to join in on the fun!
