Easter fun!

I had planned to have this post up and done this last week...but better late than never! My family all came here for Easter weekend. My Mom and Austin had Easter vacation from school so my Dad took a couple of days off and they came down Wednesday night. Maddie was pretty darn bummed that she had to go to school and miss out on the fun. She was supposed to have Friday off but we had to have a make up day for our "Snow" day in January. HAHA...snow day for school here?!

She had her art festival at school and was so excited to see that Nana and Pop Pop had come to see her art work. Being the WAY awesome Mom that I am I forgot the camera. Niiice.

The Easter bunny always delivers eggs and baskets to our house on Saturday morning. We did an indoor Easter egg hunt this year because I think the bunny didn't want to freeze her bum off hiding eggs outside this year. Wimpy bunny...I think not! :) Hayden and Grace were both pretty content to grab a few eggs and sit and eat candy and let Maddie do all the searching!

That afternoon Josh had to work so that left egg coloring duty to me. I must be crazy or insane to have 3 kids, 6 cups of dye and 2 dozen eggs. Surprisingly enough, it wasn't too bad. They loved coloring them and were content to just let me do the dye.
Not bad at all! :)
I tried to get a picture of the kids in their Easter outfits before church. I should leave some time before leaving but every year for some reason we are always running late. Grace didn't want to cooperate one bit. We had no time to try to get her to sit so this my friends, is my attempt at getting a picture! At least it is realistic right?!

After church we had Easter dinner at my parents before everyone drove back home. The kids all play so well together. There isn't any fighting and everyone gets along. It is so nice! I wish Ashley and Jake would just move up here already!

Oh how I love my cheesy girl!

You may have thought that I was mean enough to take a picture while people are cramming their faces. Ashley (in the white shirt) actually told me "Wait Rach, let me get my fork ready first!" So I may not have had Michelle's blessing to take the picture but Ashley was all for it!
And yes, the house is stinkin' groovy! It hasn't been redecorated since the 70's so it is like walking back in time when we go there. It is even complete with blue crushed velvet chairs and shag blue carpet. Dreamy! The kiddos table! There was more playing than eating going on but hey, when cousins are here, playing is way more important anyway!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has a hard time getting everyone to cooperate for pictures! I usually end up bribing them with candy of some sort!

Your kids look adorable in their Easter get-up - sad we didn't see you at church, we lasted all of Sacrament & headed out: Single Mom=no church!! Haha

Oh what fun we had! I wish I had one of your yummy rolls right now! The picture of the grandbabies is my favorite. They are so precious.
