New year...new me!

I am completely OCD. I swear.

I. Am.

I have been wanting to post, but my computer that has all of the Christmas pictures I was editing got hijacked by Josh---he is fixing a neighbor's computer and stole my monitor. It was supposed to be a quick fix, but ended up being a nasty virus and has = MANY days without said computer. I kept thinking I would just post without Christmas but my OCD kept telling me I couldn't do it out of order. Heaven forbid!

So I am rebelling against myself because it is a new year and I am going to be better about not being such a perfectionist. Seriously. Life is too short. So will Christmas ever get posted? I hope so. It may not be until the day before the end of time or at least the day before next Christmas but it will get posted!

In the mean time I have been crazy busy! I have had orders going on with my design site and started my photography business. (Yeah, starting when it is colder than crap outside...I am nuts!)

On top of all of that when my family got together for Christmas, my Dad asked Josh about P90x. Josh was going to be starting back up first of the year and my Dad said he was thinking of doing it too. One thing lead to another and next thing I know the sugar I know and love is been sold off for a family competition.

WHHHHAAATT!?????!!!

Girls vs. Boys. "Biggest Loser/Most Improved" gets MONEY! (Which will probably be used to buy clothes since the old ones won't fit!) and winning team gets a night out dinner and a movie paid for by the losers. Losers are also the babysitters. I will not be the loser.

I am also not above some friendly family competition. Especially when it is for the greater good. :)

I should probably say that I am not doing the crazy no sugar whatsoever, measure everything with a food scale and only put things in my mouth that have no flavor...what is the point of living? Uggghh...

We are, however, watching what we do eat. Paying attention to calories, cutting out fat wherever possible. The scriptures say everything within moderation. Sounds good to me. I want it to be something I will stick to, not suffer through only to get to the end and go right back to a box of Ding Dongs sobbing about how much I have missed them and then end up in a corner crying with crumbs and filling smeared all over my face. I do miss them though, but they just aren't worth me sweating to death to burn them off. I never thought I would think that, let alone type it.

Here is my review so far:

I knew going in that this program is known for being CrAzY hard. It kicks your butt and then turns around and serves it back to you on a platter. It also didn't help that the "competition" that I am married to kept reminding me of it to scare me to death before we started. Thanks love. Remember I cook your dinners ;)!

I am a week and a half in. It has NOT been pretty at times. I couldn't bend down to tie my shoes last week because I was SO SORE. I knew I wasn't in awesome shape, but you have got to be kidding me.

All in all I LOVE it. I look forward to it everyday. This week is a repeat of last week and I can already see improvement. Plus...I LOST WEIGHT!!!!! Swwwweeet! No, I will not be telling you how much...yet. I have taken my horrid before pictures and I don't forsee them seeing the light of day ever. But by Easter (which is the last day) I may reconsider. Not sure. Or if someone offers good money ;) hehehe!

Good luck! That program whips you butt in half...literally! :) I did one workout with Mike & swore I would never do it again. It's hell on earth, as far as I'm concerned. You are all going to look so great when you are done though!

You will do great :) I have been wanting to try P90X too (of course after I have this baby and need to work off the oh so glorious jello belly, mmmmm jello) Any way, Can't wait to hear about how it's going and good luck with your photo and design business, you sound super busy! Oh and by the way, I am OCD too, it would have taken me a lot of effort to also post out of order, ha ha ha, we have serious problems.

Good luck! You will love your results. I did P90x August through October and it kicked my butt! it was great, I felt accomplished and such and I did lose some inches which was great. I didn't stick to it everyday, but from what I did, I saw some results. I also didn't stick to the eating program so I probably would have seen more results if I had done that, but I was happy with what I did. I will say though, the hardest part for me was the pull-ups. Hated them, hated them. Still can't do more than 2- yep...2. Never had that much upper body strength and I'm okay with that.
Well, good luck and I hope you win!!!!!")
