My BIG Project

Maddie's baptism is on Saturday. Yes, her baptism.

Hello?!
Since when am I old enough to have a child that is 8 let alone getting baptized?!

A cute girl in our ward has a little boy Maddie's age and when we were talking about it a few months ago she told me that she did a book about her older daughter when she was baptized. I thought it would be a fun way to look back on Maddie's 8 years and let's face it, I don't have scrapbooks caught up. In fact, I am nowhere near caught up.

It is a miracle but it is finished, and a whole week before her birthday. I am shocked! Usually I am scrambling last minute and cursing myself because I should have had it done earlier. I don't know how it happened but I am glad it did! I had a few friends say that they wanted to see it and thanks to modern technology... I can just put it up on the blog and maybe inspire a few of you out there to be crazy with me!

At the dinner after her baptism, I have made pages that grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins can use to write Maddie a note and then these pages will be slipped into the back and she can have this book to remind her about her special day.

I am so proud of her--but I will save the sappy stuff for a post later. :)

Rach you are amazing! I love it! I wish I had my act together enough to do one for Dee-Lynn. Maddie will treasure this forever.

THANK YOU THANK YOU! I've been trying to think of some ideas like this for Tait's baptism (and as a continuing tradition). What a great idea! The book is beautiful!

So TDF Rache!;) That is so neat and something she will always treasure, and when she is a mom and you have passed on your MAD Photoshop skills to her :), a tradition that is likely to pass down. Great job!
See you soon???:):):)
