What feels like forever ago (but was probably only about a month) we took the kids up to the Hill Airforce Museum.

Old planes (with creepy looking mannequins)
(side note: had to look up how to spell mannequins and in my opinion that is the ugliest spelled world in the english language. alright...you can continue on now.)
Crazy planes with even crazier people hanging out in front of them...

and even a presidential plane...
There was a fun play area and the kids got to sit in a cockpit

and "walk" on the moon...

I loved that Hayden tried to do a salute...

Josh even got to pretend he was flying off to save the world. (and he did...and returned home safely. Thank goodness.)

I was quizzed all the way through the museum. And when I say all through the museum...I really mean ALL. THE. WAY. THROUGH. THE. MUSEUM.
I think Josh thought he would actually teach me something.
"What is the name of that plane?"
I would ramble off some letter and number combination like F727. Which I think would be an awesome name. Sadly, I learned that such a plane does not exist. There are lots of F planes...I think... and the 727 is a fun plane to fly on to go on vacation. Why not smash them together?
Josh didn't see the brilliance of my idea. But he did tell me all about the Russian planes and the American plane that has never been shot down.
Now that is impressive. But I don't think I would want to fly one. You know that men just see that as a challenge. I would be the unlucky one in the "plane that has never been shot down" and that would be the day it would go down. :)
The highlight of Hayden's day?

Yep, sittin' on a missle.

So fun! Don't you love it when the grownups can have as much fun as the kids?!?
That is way fun! Paul would LOVE to go there, he has this things with planes and wants to be a pilot when he grow up! (Wifey has some issues with it....) Great fun!
Haha! The reason mannequin is such an ugly word is because it's French. Those darn frenchys. :) Looks like a good time was had by all.
