The day started off with the must-take photo op at the lion drinking fountain...Aaaahhhhh!!!
Next it was off to see the monkeys and this cute little guy just hung out by the windows watching everyone.
And since we were on a roll with every photo-op of course we had to stop by and see if the kids were bigger than the male gorillas. Thankfully they aren't.
Have I mentioned lately how much I happen to love these four crazy people?!
Hayden spent the entire day walking around with his ticket in his pocket "just in case he needed it"
When we finished up seeing the animals we stopped at the globe. I would have given ANYTHING for a splash pad. It was SO HOT that day.
{I did think about hopping up and laying on it just to get wet. If it wasn't for the fact I had to set a good example for the kids (or the fact that would have been a horrible sight)...I just might have. }
Of course you don't want to put your drink down to play. That would be ridiculous.

Fun pictures! We love the zoo too & yes, I too have been tempted to lay on that water globe thing.
I love it! What a fun day at the zoo! We recently took our kids and had a blast. It had been a couple of years since we'd gone. Great pictures too!
