I grew up with the tradition of making cookie dough to eat over Conference weekend. We would grab a spoon and scoop up a big ball and eat them as we listened to talks. I was young and not the germaphobe that I am today and the idea of salmonella never crossed my mind.
Now?
YUCK.
I was on a recipe blog (for the life of me I cannot remember which one so I can credit them) and came across this recipe for cookie dough that has no eggs. OH HAPPY HAPPY DAY!
She also took melted chocolate and drizzled it all over the frozen dough. THEN I was on Kevin and Amanda's site and she made chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes. I may be going cookie dough crazy today.
Here is the recipe:
1 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 (3oz) box instant vanilla pudding
1/4 cup milk
1/2 TB. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups chocolate chips
In large bowl cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add pudding and stir well. Add milk, vanilla, and baking soda. Slowly mix in flour until smooth. Dough will be slightly sticky. Stir in chocolate chips and chill. DON'T BAKE! Form into balls and freeze. Dip in melted chocolate or drizzle tops and chil again to set. Serve cold.
