Its A Girl!

She is 9 weeks old...


She weighs in at a whopping 1 pound 10 oz.


She is now successfully sleeping all night long


...in her crate.

Haha! No newborns here. thankyouverymuch.

Yep, we have a new addition to the family. She is seriously the sweetest dog in the world. She has a laid back easy going attitude and is a little shy. Her only fault...not house trained...yet.

How in the world did this happen? My Mom got a cute little 3 year old yorkie from the ksl classifieds that was listed because the newlywed couple didn't have any time for him. Our kids had been working towards a bunny and suddenly I found myself rationalizing a small dog being the same as a bunny. (Yes, I actually spent time in my head finding all the ways that bunnies and dogs were the same...)

Flash forward a few days and  we started going through the classifieds looking for a younger yorkie that was already potty trained. We went and saw a couple and they also had puppies. They were too young to leave their Mama yet but Josh suddenly decided that if we were going to get a dog, we should get a puppy. Ummm....puppies are not potty trained, right?

Next thing you know we are calling a lady about her puppies and no sooner than we hang up with her we are headed up north to take a look. We all see where that led us. So here I am in the middle of my busy fall photo shoot season and I am now potty training a puppy. Heaven help me. I can be won over by a pretty face, obviously.
