Heigh Ho Heigh Ho its off to Salt Lake we go!

We were up in Salt Lake for a couple of reasons this last weekend. The first being Michelle having surgery and the second being Josh's golf tournament on Saturday. It was a fun weekend that went by way to quickly! We arrived on Thursday and Michelle looked great for just having had surgery the day before. She was pretty sore and a trip to Costco put her down for the rest of the day. My Mom and I scrapbooked and watched The Pursuit of Happyness. It was a great movie. I cried at the end--but don't I cry at the end of almost any movie? Or commercial for that matter?! Josh had his "practice round" of golf on Friday and afterwards we met up with our great friends the Camps and Ottesens and went to dinner and ice cream. We headed over to the Ottesen's for game night and Maddie got in some much needed play time with her "Bestest friends" Abbi and Lizzie. We talked and laughed and played games until late late late! When we went to leave, it was so weird to Josh and I because we were so used to walking over to our house a few doors down but instead got into the car and drove home to my parents house. The next morning Josh was up and gone early to get to the golf tournament-and the kids and I spent the day with my Mom, Michelle and Grandma. I was amazed at how quickly Michelle was getting back into the swing of things. By Saturday she was up and getting around with only some minor pain but feeling great! Saturday night Josh watched the kids while I went to a get together with some of my great friends from high school. It was a goodbye party for my best friend Rachelle and her husband Aaron. They are off to Maryland for his year internship for his medical school rounds. They are hoping to be back in Utah next year but you never know! It was so much fun to sit and talk and catch up on where life has taken all of us. It was such a quick trip but so much fun! So now here I sit back in reality with 5 loads of laundry sitting on the floor ready to be washed, dried, ironed and put away. I guess I'd better get started or we will have nothing to wear tomorrow!!!
