On Sunday for Father's Day when we woke up the kids and I aksed Josh what he would like us to make him for breakfast...I had stuff on hand to make anything he wanted...his request-Lucky Charms. I asked him if he was sure that is what he wanted and he said he was craving them. So that was an easy breakfast! He got to spend the morning watching the US Open and then as a present from the bishopric, we were released from our nursery calling too. (I am currently enjoying a moment without a calling, but at the same time it is really weird too!) We came home from church and Josh barbecued chicken and we played games. It was strange since this was the first Father's day where we didn't have to run to family's houses to celebrate. Everyone after church was talking about how they were rushing here or there to get to a dinner at someone's house or that they had to finish dinner before people came over. We didn't have to rush anywhere.
We got to spend a quiet night as a family and celebrate together. Josh is an amazing father. He is so good with the kids. They get so excited when it is their night to have Daddy read them a story and put them to bed. We alternate every night and they are always asking if it is his turn to put them to bed. At first I was a little sad that they aren't as excited for me but they have me read to them and play with them all day. They love their one on one time with Dad for a few minutes before bed. He is a terrific father and we are so lucky to have him! We love you!!!
