What was I thinking?!

Seriously, what was I thinking? I am in a scrapbook swap group with some girls in our neighborhood. It is easy enough...during each month you put together a 2 page layout and then get together one night a month and swap, put pictures on pages and put pages into scrapbooks. Sounds terrific right? It is...until you have a baby...and then all seems to go out the window for a while. I knew I would be busy with baby so I scrapbooked ahead and had a few months saved p. Okay I had one month ahead. February's page is finished and ready for the exchange. But knowing that it will take me a little longer to get things finished I decided during one solitary moment of quiet that lasted maybe 20 minutes, to get stuff pulled out of drawers and off shelves and started March's pages. I am torn right now. I have basic stuff to get caught up on (putting clean clothes back on hangers and into drawers, a dishwasher to unload, carpets to vacuum, and floors to mop, but what do I do? Pull out scrapbook stuff! I LOVE to scrapbook. It is my way to relax and feel like me. Some people go running, some read a good book, some go shopping (well I do all but the running too...) but there is something about getting scrapbook pages done that just makes me feel like I have accomplished something. So I have to do household basics but I want to scrapbook. So what is a girl to do? I'll tell you...pull out all of the scrapbook stuff only to realize that the new scrapbook desk that your sweet husband bought you for Christmas is currently covered with stuff that needs to be put away. So instead of cleaning that up before pulling out the tornado of "crap" that is scrapbooking, get the brilliant idea and designate an end of the kitchen table as a new scrapbooking desk and then drive yourself crazy because not only is the original desk a mess but now the table is a mess. And things are in "spots" and you can't just pack it up! And now instead of taking a few moments while naps are being taken to get one or the other cleaned up, I am here whining about it! I am a mess!!

Here is the proof (although it does embarass me to let you see just how messy I can be!)

we have been eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner around my mess for days now. Thanks Josh for putting up with me!!

Here is my messy desk...Josh surprised me with it for Christmas. It is an apothecary table that folds down for more space when the scrapbook bug bites...I think he thought that it would save him from having to eat around scrabook stuff all over the kitchen table...and it will...eventually! So now you can all see how not put together I really am, but I am leaving out pictures of clothes needing to be put away, etc. but you get the idea!
