Thankful Thursday

1. Air conditioning. Hands down my most appreciated appliance right now. Seriously. It is down right hot here now. I was reading a magazine that had an article in it and the lady was talking about the ways she was trying to reduce her "footprint" and that she was going to not turn her air conditioner on this summer to cut her bill by 30%. She clearly doesn't live by me...she would be a sweaty incoherent mess by the end of the week. I will recycle, but turn off my air conditioner? Never.

2. Swimming lessons. Maddie has been in desperate need of a good teacher to get her going. Maddie loves going every day and her teacher does a great job. Now hopefully, Josh won't have to jump into another pool again to save her...and ruin his cell phone!

3. Projects. I hate when they pile up and don't get finished but I love always having something to do. I know that if I ever finish all of the projects I have going or have planned, I will come up with more to do! ( I am getting some finished ones put together, there will be pictures coming soon! OOOOHHH...can't wait, huh?!)

4. We finally finished refinishing (say that three times fast!) our bed. It was starting to get awfully hot out in the garage, even at night, so after a really late night covered in paint...it is back. No more sleeping on a mattress on the floor anymore!

5. Our Wii...let me explain. No, I never thought I would be thankful for a "game system". Usually I curse them. But the Wii is single handedly responsible for Maddie keeping her room clean and her bed made everyday, not to mention helping me out with random things around the house so that she can play. Hayden has even begun putting his toys back in his bucket so he can "pretend" to drive MarioKart with Maddie.
