1. My visiting teacher who came by last night…with a plate of snickerdoodles. I have been craving these since Sunday night. Josh is so good about eating “desserts” he will have a piece of cake and be good. Or a couple of cookies and he is done. So I am always hesitant about making any because I will end up eating them ALL. Don’t want a perfectly good cookie going to waste right!? Anyway it made my night to have a plate (WARM too!) at my door last night. Inspiration? I think so!
2. I am thankful that I took my wedding ring in for inspection. I have to have it inspected every 6 months to keep the warranty. Some of you might remember reading about my trauma last year and it was close to happening again. There were 2 loose stones in the band and if I hadn’t gotten it inspected and they fell out, we would be left holding a $400 price tag to get them replaced. Ouch. (Josh had surprised me with a new wedding ring last year.) I don’t have good luck with diamonds I guess, so I am grateful for the warranty
3. I was talking to my Mom on the phone and the subject of blogs and what to write for Thankful Thursday came up. I am thankful that I am who I am. If I wasn't me, my Mom would slap me. Thank heavens for family willing to slap you to get you to be yourself again!
4. Three of the cutest sweetest kids in the world. They are so different and I love them all to pieces. They make me laugh and make me smile. And that is priceless, especially on days that you need a smile. Last night Maddie was sad because the ladybug that she had found at Josh's office had flown away. She has only asked Josh 14 billion times if he has seen it since. Last night at dinner she had asked and I said "Maybe he flew off to his family. If someone had caught you and you had a chance to fly away and come back to us, you would right?!" Her response was classic...."I dont' fly Mom." Good point
5. The days when the "cleaning bug" bites and I clean the things that I usually walk past thinking someday I need to take care of that. I love the feeling of a clean house. Some days it is all I can do to want to put the laundry away or mop the floor. But then there are days where I get up and just start cleaning. I am crazy in the head...I know.

I am really bad at losing my wedding ring. One time we found it behind my mom's washer. I need to hurry and insure it. Then again I've been saying that for 6 years.

Oh my goodness, Rachel, THANK YOU for reminding me!!! I am overdue taking my ring in for inspection!! Hopefully they'll have mercy on me since I am the most scatterbrained in the summer!
Scary about your ring! I love your Thankful Thursdays, so I will attempt to do this as well! Although the way I post I am sure I will forget some Thursdays, so bear with me.
