Happy 4th!

So in between all of the craziness we had going on...it was the 4th of July. I heart this holiday!

>

We have the whole clan in the same exact spot every year. Aunts, uncles, and cousins all make their way here for the parade and breakfast at Grandmas afterward! We missed the b-fast this year due to the fact that our crap was waiting at the old house...So. Fun. :)

Just before we took this picture, we discovered that Hayden had eaten a snap.

What the what?!

We have them every year, but this year for some reason he thought they were food. Good grief! He had a little black mark on his tongue from where he bit it. No harm done. So if your kid ever gets the idea in his head that snaps just might be food, you are all good. Although I wouldn't recommend an entire bag. Might be good to stop just at one!

We hadn't been to a parade in forever so it took the kids a minute or two to realize that when people throw candy, you should probably go get it! We all laughed because the candy would be sitting right in front of them and they just looked at it!

Grace was content to play with the flags that were passed out. She even got a bead necklace. Knowing her it was because she flashed someone her belly button. She gets that from her Daddy! ;)

After a full day of moving, we headed over to my parents for dinner and then down to the fireworks. We always find a good spot on the grass and then head over for some random shopping at Target. We always end up with stuff we didn't know we needed, and a whole lotta sugar to pass the time waiting for it to get dark.

I was looking through my "Mary Poppins" bag and found that I had not only red fingernail polish but SPARKLES too! So of course we painted all the little girls fingers and toes. Have I mentioned I love sparkles?!

Sydney and Maddie entertained us with their dance moves as the band played. Hayden stayed awake up until 10 minutes before the fireworks started and then slept all the way through them. He asked me the next day where the fireworks were. I guess it is a good thing we will do it all over again on the 24th!
