We partied all week long. The kids had been dying for Halloween to come for so long and we got a lot of mileage out of their costumes.

Hayden had a field trip to a local pumpkin patch. They got to do fun activities like put the pumpkins in order from smallest to biggest, how to follow a pumpkin pattern and of course a group photo for all the Moms! :)
He also had a class party complete with a "mini trick or treat" event after their costume parade.
Maddie's school had the parade that was supposed to be outside but it was F-R-E-E-Z-I-N-G that morning (in my opinion...hehehe!) so they moved it inside.
Maddie and Hayden were completely entertained with the door. It would spin around when people walked up to it. Then would stop when they were gone. Needless to say I could have left them, gone upstairs, done some trick or treating, come back and they wouldn't have even noticed I was gone. I have crazy kids.
That afternoon my Dad had us come to his work and go trick or treating. There was 3 floors of never ending candy. We could have been done right then and there and not bothered with the actual night. The idea did not go over well with the kids. ;) I have no idea why!

This Batman had the whole costume and even had the deep voice. Good thing he wasn't the real thing or he might have had me swept off my feet and into his Batmobile to ride off into the sunset. hehehe! Well Grace wanted NOTHING to do with him. He held out the bowl and asked her if she wanted some candy and she quickly shook her head no. Austin picked her up and took her over and she was clinging for dear life. Being the great Mom that I am, had a good laugh and took a picture.
We had been so busy we didn't get to carving pumpkins until just before dinner. Most years it has been Josh and I doing all of the work and the kids supervising but this year we put them to work. Grace thought carving pumpkins meant eating them and she kept licking the guts. GROSS. ME. OUT.

I didn't know you and Maddie are allergic to pumpkins! So am I! I get hives wherever I touch them. Good times! The kids look cute in their costumes!
I like the trick-or treating at the workplace. So much faster and WARM!!! Looks like fun.
Adorable costumes!!! I hate carving pumpkins, I wish I could use the allergic excuse. We just paint them instead.
Looks like Halloween was a blast at your house! You have such cute kids! Love it!
